Israel Torres, originally from Veracruz, Mexico, is a dedicated advocate for justice and security based in Richmond, VA. After moving to the United States in 2016, Israel distinguished himself as the Battalion Commander of the JROTC program at Huguenot High School, demonstrating exceptional leadership early on. Initially drawn to mechanical engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University, his deep-rooted commitment to public service led him to pivot toward a double major in Homeland Security and Criminal Justice, with a minor in Political Science. Today, as a Legal Assistant, Israel applies his extensive leadership skills and rigorous academic background to support impactful legal work, guided by a strong sense of purpose and justice.
